The Business & Internal Communications VP is a seasoned professional who integrates subject matter expertise to support and help drive Internal Communications for Citi at a global level.
Responsibilities:
Work with ESPA colleagues and other key stakeholders to develop Internal Communications that support franchise-wide priorities and business specific programs
Provide communications assistance to Internal Communications projects/initiatives
Write, edit, prepare and publish content customized for global internal channels, including the intranet, company newsletters, and digital signage with a focus on flagship publications
Manage email and web channels to effectively drive messaging to key audiences within the business, including the deployment of targeted content through the use of SharePoint, Email Distribution Tool and/or Content Management System (CMS)
On-the-ground/in the “virtual room” reporter for corporate initiatives including town halls, fireside chats and other priority events across the firm
Provide onsite assistance in support of town halls, senior leadership meetings and other business events
Job entails a high volume of writing, editing and proofreading in a fast-paced, matrixed environment
Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency
Qualifications:
Knowledge of communications and 6-10 years of experience
Intellectually curious and demonstrates superior writing, editing and research skills with obsessive attention to detail
Experience managing stakeholders and responding to information queries
Comprehensive research skills and the ability to compile and fact check relevant information
Excellent organizational and project management skills
Possesses integrity, dependability and a positive professional attitude
Strong interpersonal, collaboration and problem-solving skills
Proficient with software including Microsoft Word, SharePoint, Excel, PowerPoint. Adobe Creative Suite experience (Photoshop, After Effects, Illustrator) a plus. Past experience managing social media a plus
Demonstrated track record of conducting successful, proactive communications programs
Ability to work in a constantly changing corporate environment, independently as well as on a team
Ability to be flexible and manage time efficiently, work on multiple projects and meet deadlines
Demonstrated track record of successful, proactive communications programs that employ creativity and use a variety of communications channels
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism or public relatio
Drafts and/or edits a variety of written pieces, including feature stories, newsletters, and other materials
Independently creates and edits communications to ensure message consistency and alignment with Citi’s mission and value proposition
Develops creative thinking and communication consulting for assigned projects, including marketing and promotional material for various Internal Communications initiatives
Generates creative and engaging themes, campaigns and copy writing
Uses audio, visual, video, social and other media proficiently and creatively to tell a story
Reviews and analyzes data to measure effectiveness, impact and engagement of communications programs and special projects
Applies professional judgment and analytical thinking when interpreting data and results
Deals with variable communications issues with potentially broader business impact
Continuously optimizes Internal Communications methods and process to increase awareness and effectiveness
Maintains internal communication channels through a variety of media venues including print, video, audio, and web-based. Utilizes various communication strategies and techniques
Coordinates multiple priorities utilizing strong organizational, analytical and leadership skills
