POSITION SUMMARY:
The Internal Communications Intern position provides an opportunity for students who are currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Journalism, Communications, Media Relations or equivalent. The Internal Communications intern will contribute to all aspects of communications with a specific focus on Internal Communications.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS INCLUDE:
- Review marketing materials to ensure accuracy and continuity in all aspects of brand image in media, literature, videos, sales meetings, and at trade shows.
- Work cross-functionally to assist in developing internal and external communications.
- Assist in developing social media communication campaigns.
- Assist in generating sales/marketing/product management tools for the sales teams.
- Assist with the sales team with coordination of trade shows, dealer events, roadshows, etc.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
- Working towards a Bachelor's Degree preferred or related degree considered as applicable.
- Great application of skills in Microsoft Office tools, such as Excel, Word, Outlook etc.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills are essential.
- Responsible for collecting information for daily communications (Daily Toolbox) – for Heil and Marathon.
- Organize and schedule weekly lunch and learns for internal, cross-functional learning.
- Responsible for writing the ESG Monthly newsletter – incorporating reoccurring and new content.
- Responsible for monthly town hall meetings (organizing and slotting).
- Will organize monthly employee, cross-functional communications sessions.
- Will organize and coordinate quarterly ‘All Employee Meetings’.
- Will organize and coordinate Bi-Annually onsite all employee meetings (at Heil and Marathon).
- Will assist in the creation of new hire orientation presentation templates.
- Will work with the Leadership Team to get new videos shot for new hire orientation.
- Will be responsible for positing job listings on social media platforms on a cadence best for each platform (including creative postings/videos/reels).
