Scope of Work (SOW)
SUMMARY: Based in Los Angeles, California, the Resource Development Intern will learn about the cultivation, solicitation and stewardship for the organization's mid to major level donors. This will include collaborating with the Major Gifts team's portfolio managers on generating and producing reports to inform cultivation and solicitation strategies, external communication with unassigned mid-major level donors, and the researching and assigning of new and existing donors. The Intern will learn about some key strategic initiatives of the Philanthropy team including in-person and virtual events, networking opportunities and cultivation tools.
GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Learn how the Major Gifts team portfolio managers develop and implement thoughtful, strategic cultivation, solicitation and stewardship plans for prospective leadership and major donors
- Research reports and briefings for external prospect and donor meetings and for internal strategy meetings
- Learn about Philanthropy events, participating in event planning, logistics and delivery
- Learn about how the Resource Development departments support International Medical Corps' overall mission.
