The Global Hardware Development team is seeking a motivated, experienced Mechanical Engineering intern to provide support to our Global Operations & Technology Business Unit located at ADI's Beaverton, Oregon location.
The intern will be supporting a Global Hardware Development team that is responsible for designing Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs) for all Business Units of ADI. This role will provide the intern exposure to the entire Hardware Development process within ADI from the schematic level to the procurement of the assembled PCB. They will also gain an understanding of how the hardware interfaces with automated equipment for our newest products.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Generating 3D Docking Simulations of PCBs to Automated Test Equipment
  • 3D Model generation of new package outline drawings
  • Reverse Mechanical Engineering of components

Minimum qualifications:
  • Pursuing a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, industrial engineering, or electrical engineering.
  • Proven success in relevant coursework, projects, and/or internship experience
  • Candidate should be self-driven
  • Candidate should have a strong knowledge of 3D Design using SolidWorks
  • Candidate should have a basic understanding of IC Package Outline Drawings
