As an intern you will be given similar responsibilities as a full-time member of the Human Resources team. This will provide you with the opportunity for challenging work assignments in a supportive work environment which promotes your personal and professional growth.
We are seeking a full-time 2024 Summer Intern for our Project site located in Orange, TX to join our team for a duration of 10 consecutive weeks from June to August.
As a Human Resource Intern and depending on your assigned project, you will have the opportunity to contribute to our team by:
- Get exposure to the various areas of Human Resources including recruitment, workforce diversity, training, professional development, health & wellness, and HR special projects and general administrative functions.
- Contribute to fostering a positive workplace culture.
- Assist with coordination and administration of Human Resource functions on a project site.
- Assist the HR team with planning and executing project onboarding requirements.
- Compose and prepare confidential correspondence, reports, and other documentation.
- Ability to meet deadlines and stated objectives while managing shifting priorities.
- Ability to act with discretion when handling confidential information.
- Other duties as assigned.
- May hold or be working towards an associate or bachelor’s degree.
- 18 years of age or older and able to work in Orange, TX full time.
- Must be willing to travel.
- Employment with PCL is contingent upon passing a background check and substance abuse test conducted by a third party.
- A desire to pursue a career in Human Resources working in the construction industry
- Ideal candidate will have previous work experience in an office environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
