Eligibility Specialist

Location: Legacy Community Health - Legacy Montrose Clinic (5/13 & 5/27 Start Dates)

Job Summary

The Eligibility conducts patients interviews and eligibility surveys for new and existing patients under the supervision of Team Lead and Eligibility Manager.

Job Responsibilities

• Meet with new and existing patients face-to-face or virtually.
• Conduct eligibility determinations for new and existing patients.
• Ensure that clients do not have another payer source
• Enroll patients in MarketPlace insurance, Medicaid, and Medicare
• Sliding rate calculations
• Complete all necessary paperwork.
• EMR data entry
• Provide exceptional customer service and a Great Patient Experience

Education & Training Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Bilingual English/Spanish required

Work Experience Requirements

• Ability to understand basic book keeping required.
• Ability to operate computers and other office machines required
• Some medical billing experience preferred.
• Some training or background in ICD-A / CPT codes preferred.
• Knowledge of medical/insurance terminology and billing practices preferred.
• Must be able work under time constraints.

Pay: $16.50 - $21.00 per hour
