What to Expect
As a Finance Intern, you'll primarily assist with maintaining accounting records. As you do, expect to thrive in an energetic, diverse environment, championed by a team committed to your learning and development.
Location: Onboarding, training, and some projects will be located at our 8220 N 23rd Ave. office in Phoenix, Arizona. All other work to be performed remotely.
Throughout this internship, you will:
- Develop a robust understanding of the health insurance industry
- Prepare organized workpapers & documentation
- Reconcile and balance basic accounts
- Prepare basic financial data and reports
- Review data for completeness and accuracy
- Ensure internal controls are maintained for all processes
- Verify, code, and post details of business transactions and enter data into spreadsheets or systems
- Sort, research, and compile documents substantiating business activities/transactions
- Research and compile documents and maintain records of financial transactions for support and reconciliations
- Prepare detailed supporting memos of accounting transactions
- Research and respond to customer inquiries and issues
- Safeguard company assets and protect health information
- Develop professional relationships with employees throughout our organization

Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two years attendance at an accredited school pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Business, Accounting, or other related field.
- Must reside in the state of Arizona
- Intermediate PC proficiency, including strong Microsoft Excel skills
- Energetic and eager to tackle new projects and ideas
