Location: We are seeking an Intern - Data and Analytics within our HR team. [ Hybrid/Remote]

Below are some key types of data analytics that are important for HR, along with examples of how Power BI can be used in each area.

Principal Function:
The Intern - Data and Analytics will help provide analytical expertise through quantitative modeling and critical performance measurement of point-of-sale data across these location's food and beverage business. This position may also provide hands-on support for other Sodexo Live! venues.
This position will assist in creating customized approaches to deliver actionable insights and solutions to complex business problems. They will leverage and integrate point of sale data, develop sales strategies and assist in efficiently calibrating pricing, distribution, and promotions. Working in a "co-pilot" role with the local operating team and corporate stakeholders, they will help lead projects from concept through final delivery to understand and overcome the business' most pressing issues in the areas of Operations, Innovation, Labor Management, and Marketing to add value with executable strategies and tactics.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Maximize Sodexo Live!'s revenue and operational excellence through implementation of systems and policies related to all aspects of data analytics.
- Contribute to the efficient operation of business unit by reconciling Data and providing information, insight, analysis, and recommendations to maximize revenues and profits.
- Contribute to goal of making Sodexo Live! #1 in Event Hospitality and the #1 Employer of Choice through personal commitment and leading by example.
- Be able to display the following via Power BI:
Recruitment and Talent Acquisition:
Application and Hiring Metrics: Track metrics such as time-to-hire, cost-per-hire, and applicant sources to optimize the recruitment process.
Candidate Pipeline Visualization: Create dashboards showing the stages candidates are at in the hiring pipeline, helping HR identify bottlenecks and areas for improvement.
Employee Performance and Engagement:
Employee Engagement Surveys: Analyze survey responses to understand employee sentiment and identify areas for improvement.
Performance Metrics: Track individual and team performance metrics to identify high performers and areas needing development.
Retention and Turnover:
Churn Analysis: Analyze turnover rates and reasons for leaving to identify trends and take proactive measures to retain employees.
Exit Interview Analysis: Visualize exit interview data to uncover common themes and patterns that could be addressed.
Training and Development:
Training Completion Rates: Monitor training completion rates and identify gaps in employee development.
Skills Gap Analysis: Analyze employee skills and identify areas where training is needed to align with business needs.
Compensation and Benefits:
Compensation Analysis: Visualize compensation data to ensure fair pay practices and identify outliers.
Benefits Utilization: Track benefits enrollment and utilization to optimize benefit offerings.
Diversity and Inclusion:
Diversity Metrics: Analyze workforce demographics to track diversity and measure progress toward inclusion goals.
Pay Equity Analysis: Use Power BI to assess pay equity across different demographic groups.
Workforce Planning:
Headcount and FTE Analysis: Visualize headcount and full-time equivalent (FTE) data to assist in workforce planning.
Scenario Modeling: Use Power BI to create models for different workforce scenarios and their potential impact on the organization.
Health and Wellbeing:
Healthcare Costs and Claims Analysis: Analyze healthcare costs and claims data to identify trends and cost-saving opportunities.
Wellness Program Effectiveness: Visualize data from wellness programs to measure their impact on employee health.
Qualifications/Skills:
- Current college student with studies in hospitality/food management, communications, human resources, accounting, marketing or another industry-related college program.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize and work successfully both independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Exceptional ability to communicate effectively in both verbal and written formats.
- Keen ability to connect easily with others and create positive positioning within a particular context or subject matter.
- Demonstrated success in interfacing with a variety of organizational functions and divisions to accomplish tasks.
Other Requirements:
- Able to work effectively and safely while subject to wet floors, temperature extremes and excessive noise; must be able to lift up to 50 pounds in weight; must be able to maneuver in an often tightly-quartered environment.
Hours may be extended or irregular to include nights, weekends and holidays.
