Title: Intern – Construction Management

What We're Looking For In You
- Must be a current student working toward degree in Electrical Engineering or construction-related program
- Interest in pursuing a career in the construction industry
- Basic knowledge/experience in the building & construction industry
- Basic understanding of electrical systems: what they do and how they operate
- Strong problem-solving, and collaboration skills required
Your role as a Construction Management Intern
To provide assistance and support throughout the preconstruction and construction workflow. The intern will progress through all major departments throughout their internship: Estimating, Project Engineering, Project Management, and Purchasing. Duties and responsibilities may include:
- Assist in the planning and estimating stage of projects
- Participate in project take-offs, submittals, plan reviews, and 3D modeling
- Works closely with the project management team monitoring the cost, productivity, scheduling, and payment processes of construction projects
- Assists in the coordination of material purchases, deliveries, tracking, and forecasting, ensuring maximum utilization of Alterman’s physical resources
- Perform other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
- Junior status or above
- Strong communication skills
- Attention to detail and organization skills
- Remain calm and focused in a constantly changing environment
- Ability to work within the hours of Monday through Friday between 7:00am-5:00pm
- Hours will vary and can be worked around course schedules.
