Definition
Under administrative direction, manages and implements the operations, and activities related to the Human Resources information system (HRIS); manages the maintenance and optimization of the HRIS; oversees the maintenance and management of Human Resources Data; reviews, develops and updates Human Resources business processes and procedures; oversees and performs analytical work, calculations, and data analysis that supports District and Human Resources operations; and performs related duties as assigned.
Supervision
Works under the direct supervision of a Classified Administrator.
May provide work direction to classified staff, temporary, and/or student employees.
Work Schedule
Full-time, 40 hours per week, 12 months per year

The following duties and responsibilities are typical of those performed by employees in this classification.
- Manages the maintenance and optimization of the HRIS; oversees the planning and implementation of system enhancements, upgrades, and integration initiatives and priorities.
- Oversees the maintenance and management of Human Resources Data; audits Data and internal system controls to ensure data integrity; maintains security profiles and role-based permissions.
- Trouble-shoots and resolves data, user, and system issues.
- Reviews, develops, and updates Human Resources business processes and procedures to align with system requirements and associated District HR policies and collective bargaining agreements; works with internal departments and third parties to identify and implement system requirements and process changes that provide opportunities for automation to improve department operation efficiencies and data reporting; creates and maintains related documentation and user training materials.
- Oversees and performs analytical work, calculations, and data analysis that supports District and HR operations; including but not limited to HR systems, classification and compensation, recruitment and staffing.
- May serve as a member or subject matter expert on the management negotiation team
- Assists with the development, implementation, and establishment policies, processes, and procedures for applicable area(s); monitors and evaluates program, operational, departmental, and/or service quality; may recommend, develop, and implement quality improvement assessment tools and/or methods with administration and/or regulatory agencies.
- Assists in the development and implementation of short- and long-term strategies and plans, including the program review process.
- Recommends, monitors, and/or administers budgets for assigned areas; oversees and administers budget allocations and procurements for all assigned funds as appropriate; analyzes and reviews budgetary and financial data.
- Handles and resolves conflicts and issues and reports complaints as appropriate.
- Promotes diversity, equity, inclusion, cultural competency, and a positive work and academic environment.
- Coordinates oversees the implementation and modification of technology.
- Supervises department employees; assigns and monitors employee's work and evaluates employee performance; trains employees; participates in employee selection.
- Monitors and reviews programs and/or operations for legal compliance.
- Analyzes and interprets data; prepares, reviews, and/or approves documents and reports.
- May direct and/or conduct surveys and special studies; may maintain statistics.
- May participate and/or chair campus committees and task forces.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
The education, training and experience qualifications are considered likely to provide the required knowledge and abilities to perform the above essential duties.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
Five (5) years of related HRIS experience that included one (1) year of maintaining and managing HR Data and Systems.

Ability to:
- Administer and maintain an HRIS system, including ERP systems.
- Manage HR information and data.
- Perform and oversee data analysis, calculations, and research related to Human Resources Data and information management.

- Prepare and review reports, correspondence, and other documents using multiple business formats.
- Manage the maintenance of records.
- Prepare and deliver presentations.

PHYSICAL AND MENTAL STANDARDS:

Additional Information
Salary
Starting salary: Step 1 $7,935 to Step 3 $8,743 per month, based on training and experience
Salary range: Step 1 $7,935 to step 11 $13,289 per month (including longevity steps)
