Summary:
The Data Privacy Specialist will be a critical part of the DIO team and will support the Integrity Programs Lead in day-to-day operations and escalations of key privacy and integrity programs. Day to day operations includes reviewing, triaging and closing out escalations from internal and external teams, identifying policy gaps, conducting quarterly audits, and management and updating of related forms and processes.

The Data Privacy Specialist will be a critical part of the DIO team and will support the Integrity Programs Lead in day-to-day operations and escalations of key privacy and integrity programs. Day to day operations includes reviewing, triaging and closing out escalations from internal and external teams, identifying policy gaps, conducting quarterly audits, and management and updating of related forms and processes.
Responsibilities:
- Support integrity and privacy programs, such as the DPA (Data Protection Assessment) for VR developers overseeing the end to end process, including updating the process and assessment form as needed
- Support internal and external escalations by leveraging policy, excellent communications and problem solving
- Work closely with Policy, Privacy, Legal, Developer Relations Engineering, TPMs and Comms teams to identify gaps in process and tooling and lead the way in identifying solutions and implementing them
- Identify solutions for any gaps affecting developer experience by working with relevant partners, advocating for platform level solutions to common issues
- Supporting policy rollouts while balancing impact on operations, developer experience and risk
- Complete regular data quality reviews and audits
Minimum Qualifications:
- Experience supporting compliance programs
- Experience managing policy escalations
- Experience managing confidential data
- Experience spotting risks and escalating as appropriate
- Experience working independently and collaboratively
- Experience managing and organizing multiple large document files with varying deadlines
Preferred Qualifications:
- Shared services or paralegal experience
- Experience with policy development
- Customer service experience
- Experience with Data Privacy, including GDPR, FTC, and risk/compliance management concepts in a global context
- Experience working in a global, large-scale, complex, fast-paced environment and dealing with ambiguity
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in a technical, liberal arts, legal or business-related field
- Working in compliance or a regulatory environment
- Experience in tech (preferred)
