POSITION SUMMARY
IYF is seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to join our team as a Manager, Interagency Gender Working Group (IGWG). In this critical role, you will be responsible for the operational execution of the IGWG focused on promoting gender equality; eliminating gender-based violence (GBV); fostering male engagement; and examining youth gender norms. You will play a key role in driving the Group's success by reshaping its community of practice, managing key activities and deliverables, and fostering strong partnerships among members.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
As the IGWG Manager, the position will play a crucial role in facilitating the success of the Working Group by working closely with the PROPEL Youth and Gender Project Director, Deputy Project Directors, and Gender Senior Technical Advisor, USAID, IGWG members and other stakeholders. Key duties include:
- Strategic Development and Management:
- Manage coordination among the IGWG members to refine a strategic framework for the Working Group, aligning with the IGWG goals and objectives.
- Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and deliverables, ensuring efficient progress towards defined targets.
- Plan and manage Advisory Group meetings, facilitating productive discussions and actionable outcomes, if needed.
- Partnership and Member Relations:
- Forge and cultivate strong relationships with key partners and members, fostering a collaborative and engaged environment.
- Manage IGWG membership, onboarding new members, and engaging existing ones
- Represent the Working Group at external/technical meetings, events, and conferences, in collaboration with PROPEL Youth and Gender Project Director, Deputy Project Director and USAID.
- Administration and Coordination:
- Establish and manage the IGWG's email communication channels.
- Coordinate and manage meeting schedules, agendas, minutes, and action items.
- Facilitate effective communication with IGWG members.
- Develop and maintain an internal communication plan to keep IGWG members informed of updates and activities.
- Website, Discussion Forum & Google Drive Management:
- Manage the IGWG website, including content updates, vendor contracts and communication, and launch planning.
- Manage vendor contracts, launch, and promotion of the IGWG Discussion Forum.
- Manage discussion forum messages and address member queries.
- Oversee the IGWG Google Drive and Teams site, managing access, folders, and files.
- Newsletters:
- Develop, collate, and manage bi-weekly newsletter plans, selecting topics, contacting authors, designing templates, and promoting newsletters in collaboration with Marketing and Communications Team.
- Manage listserv of subscribers.
- GBV & Male Engagement Task Forces:
- Support the Gender-Based Violence (GBV) Task Force and the Male Engagement Task Force planning events and reports.
- Support promotion of events for both task forces.
- Annual Plenaries & Events:
- Manage the planning and execution of annual plenaries, webinars, and other events, including session design, logistics, and post-event evaluation.
- Knowledge Products:
- Develop and manage a production plan for knowledge products like reports, infographics, and fact sheets.
- Oversee production and dissemination of news publications.
REQUIRED SKILLS
- Master's degree in a relevant field with at least eight (8) years of experience working in international development, youth development, and gender equality.
- Proven experience in strategic planning, stakeholder engagement, and partnership development.
- Strong Experience managing a technical Working Group of a variety of stakeholders, including donors, technical partners at a local, regional, and/or global level.
- Excellent interpersonal, writing and communication skills.
- Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
- Spoken and written fluency in English required. Professional proficiency in French or other languages are a plus.
- Excellent computer skills using MS Office products including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint, SharePoint, Salesforce, and other digital tools.
- Passionate about the IGWG's mission and objectives.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

LOCATION
Southern Maryland, Northern Virginia, and Washington D.C.
SALARY
USD 70,000 – 80,000 per year
