As a Food group manager, you will be part of a business-oriented, innovative, and entrepreneurial team. You will be responsible for the strategy, creation and commercialization of groundbreaking food concepts and offerings for US Roastery and Starbucks Reserve locations.
We are looking for a candidate who has a background in and passion for food concepts, a strong strategic ,analytical and problem-solving skillset, strong people leadership skills, a growth mindset, and a laser focus on customers and our store partners.
Business Strategy and Management
- Lead Reserve Food 3-year strategy, taking into account emerging industry trends and customer/ partners insights to make compelling customer and business-driven recommendations.
- Deliver robust Food pipeline of 4-5x per year promotional launches, including blue-sky innovation
- Represent Food in cross-functional forums, and deliver high-level strategy presentations to Siren and Enterprise leadership
Team Leadership
- Lead a team of 3-4 Food partners to design and implement food strategy
- Lead briefings with the product development team to create and implement incredible new food products and recipes
- Responsible for career development and growth of team members
We’d love to hear from people with:
- A passion and background in Food and Restaurant concepts
- Strong strategic and growth mindset
- Experience and a fervent focus on people leadership and career development
- 5 years+ experience in a role leading product strategy and commercialization management. Retail experience highly appreciated.
- Bachelor’s degree or 4 or more years of US military experience, MBA a strong positive
- Progressive analytical experience with proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint and Tableau
- Ability to communicate clearly and persuasively.
- Ability to manage projects, balance multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Ability to navigate change and ambiguity, and do the right things even when it is hard (key value: courage)
