This position is for an experienced Patent & Trademark Docketing Coordinator whose primary function is to aid in the maintenance of the patent/trademark prosecution docket and patent/trademark information database for Pfizer's global IP Department. This consists primarily of handing/overseeing the day-to-day activities in centralized docketing mailbox for both TM and Patents. Must be able to handle sensitive and confidential information.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for assisting in the day-to-day docketing activities across both Patents and Trademarks mailboxes, with the ability to handle large volumes of data. Including reviewing incoming correspondence from US and foreign Patent and Trademark Offices, outside counsel and foreign associates and docketing key attorney deadlines from that correspondence, data entry of key patent and trademark dates, codes and actions, working with Patent and Trademark attorneys and specialists to manage deadlines, and assisting with preparation/scheduling/review of docket-related reports.
- Responsible for reviewing & analyzing data including critical dates as part of IP system generated checks for system integrity.
- Working with the IPGS Sr. Manager on the data integration for acquisitions/divestitures/licenses /collaborations including data integrity checks for both Patent & Trademark
- Assist with IP systems Upgrades including project testing and rollout, including user training.
QUALIFICATIONS
Must Have:
- Bachelor's degree.
- 3+ years experience in Intellectual Property formalities gained in a law firm or in-company with a focus supporting pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical companies.
- Demonstrated proficiency in IP Portfolio Management systems and document management systems including some exposure to the maintenance of underlying rules within these.
- Highly Proficient in Patent & Trademark docketing across all jurisdictions.
- Strong Knowledge of Patent & Trademark international filing systems and IP Laws and practices worldwide.
- Demonstrate ability to regularly adapt and refine standard methods and techniques by applying breadth of knowledge and prior work experience to address current, emerging, and future requirements.
- Demonstrate ability to prudently exercise independent judgment with respect to situations that are very unusual, highly complex, and/or unique situations.
Nice to Have:
- Strong attention to detail required.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications especially Excel & Outlook.

- Primarily desk work involving the use of standard word processing and organizational computer applications.

The salary for this position ranges from $31.36 to $52.27 per hour. In addition, this position offers eligibility for overtime, weekend, holiday and other pay premiums depending on the work schedule and the Company's policies.
