Summary of Duties:
The Intellectual Property (IP) Program Coordinator will perform tasks related to the Intellectual Property of Washington State University, under general direction. The IP Coordinator will utilize independent judgment in interpreting and applying federal reporting rules and regulations as well as within the annuity and patent maintenance processes. Additionally, this position will support the Technology Management Team within the Office of Commercialization in the preparation of provisional patent filing materials and act as back up for other members as needed.
Required Qualifications:
- High school graduation or equivalent AND two (2) years of experience in the program specialty OR equivalent education/experience.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated attention to detail.
- Proficient in computer usage, which includes the Microsoft Suite products.
- Strong work ethic and willingness to maintain confidentiality regarding proprietary information.
Preferred Qualifications:
- College level coursework in a technical or scientific field.
- Demonstrated experience with and/or knowledge of Federal Reporting requirements mandated by the Bayh-Dole Act.
- Demonstrated experience with and/or knowledge of Intellectual Property law.

Monthly Salary: Range 40 | $3,376 to $4,497 (Step A - M) | Successful candidates typically begin at the beginning of the salary range and receive scheduled salary increment increases in accordance with WAC 357-28.
