Intake Coordinator

Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Intake Coordinator to join our team. As an Intake Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring efficient and effective patient intake processes. This position requires strong organizational and multitasking skills, excellent communication abilities, and a thorough understanding of medical administrative support. This is a full-time position with competitive pay base on experience.

Responsibilities:

-Great and check-in patients, providing them with a warm and welcoming experience

-Collect patient information and process patient demographics including personal and medical history
- Coordinate and facilitate the intake process for new patients
- Collect and verify patient information such as insurance details

-Verify insurance coverage and eligibility for patients

-Assist with insurance claims processing and follow up on any denials or discrepancies
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients by addressing inquiries and concerns
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure timely and accurate documentation of patient records
-Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in our medical office systems
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Perform general office duties such as answering phone calls, managing emails, respond to inquiries and filing documents

-Liaise with healthcare providers to develop comprehensive patient care plans and provide highest quality of care.

Skills:
- Proficiency in medical terminology and understanding of medical procedures
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping
- Previous experience in No Fault

-Knowledge and understanding No Fault regulations in New York

-Knowledge and understanding of HIPAA guidelines and compliance
