$15.84/hour.
Position Details
- Provides telephone & walk-in intake services for consumers of the Base Service Unit (BSU) and Merakey.
- Completes consumer assessment, determines needs, prepares referrals, and enters data into data systems.
- Forwards completed BSU intakes for liability determination and forwards information to provider of services. This includes all contracted service providers of C-P MH Program.
- Completes registration form for consumers contacting Merakey for all services, which the center provides, regardless of payer source. This form is then forwarded to the program supervisor and to the registrar if an outpatient service.
- Refers consumers to appropriate community services if Merakey services are not appropriate for consumers’ needs.
- Responds to requests concerning Merakey programs, admission criteria, and waiting lists for various program services as provided by individual program supervisors to the BSU Intake staff.
- If required, arranges for signed releases of information for BSU & Merakey to receive consumer information from previous treatment providers.
- Participates with other BSU staff in the establishment and maintenance of a system of information storage and retrieval for all past and present consumers as required by the BSU policies and procedures.
- Assists and participates, as appropriate and directed, in all activities which are required of the BSU contractual obligations
- Adheres to all Merakey, county, state, and federal policies and regulations related to mental health and addictions treatment services.
- Complies with Merakey ethics and code of conduct of own discipline, in contact with all consumers, coworkers and the community.
- Participates in continuing education activities to further develop professional skills as required.
- Attends department and Merakey meetings as required.
- Maintains consumer confidentiality in accordance with all applicable policies, procedures, and regulations.

Requirements
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, education, counseling, administration, or a related field.
- Experience in Mental Health/Addictions assessment or treatment preferred.
- Valid Driver’s License
