Intake & Billing Specialist

HealthCare Strategies (HCS) is hiring a full-time Intake and Billing Specialist to help handle our growing home health and hospice clientele. The Intake & Billing Specialist is responsible for assisting with patients' intake process as well as billing and collection of accounts receivable for assigned agencies.

Some duties include but not limited to verifying patients' insurance eligibility & benefits, requesting, and managing patients' authorizations, submission of electronic and paper claims, posting payments, and working denials.

Intake & Billing Specialists are accountable for timely insurance verifications, efficiently managing patients’ authorizations, maintaining positive cash flow, and ensuring that accounts receivable is processed in a timely and accurate manner.

Interested applicants should be diligent and self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and in a team environment. Additionally, applicants should be technically adequate and able to operate multiple EMR billing systems, navigate internet resources, and work with MS Office products. Daily interaction with clients, insurance companies, and patients is required, so excellent customer service, and good written and verbal communication skills are necessary. Applicants should also be detail oriented, methodical, and proficient in time management.

Prior home health and/or hospice intake/ billing experience is strongly preferred, but not required.

This is not a remote or work from home position.
