SalarySpecialty physician office is seeking a Medical Billing A/R specialist for our Murfreesboro office.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Identify, investigate, and resolve unpaid claims.
- Utilizing Payor portals to follow up on submitted claims.
- Call insurance companies when claims are denied.
- Prepare and submit claims' reconsiderations and appeals.
- Tracking and trending payor issues.
- Takes incoming calls from payors and patients.
- Working knowledge of ICD-10/ CPT coding, LCDs and NCCI edits.
- Timely submission of medical documentation as requested by payors.
A/R Specialist Qualifications:
- Education: Associate degree in related field or minimum 3+ years physician office billing experience
- Experience: At least 3 years of experience in a physician office setting
- Excellent communication skills
- Equipment: Ability to operate standard office equipment
- Skills: Excellent customer service skills.
- Computer Programs: Proficient with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems (preferably eClinical Works), transmission clearinghouse systems (Gateway/TriZetto).
Job Type: Full-time
