We are an insurance agency which is located in Sunset Park Brooklyn since 2010. We are seeking a capable Insurance Office Assistant to support the company's operations and growth.
Hiring for full and part-time positions with generous and competitive monetary compensation.
The position is not remote.
Position Overview
- Verify underwriting information for new clients.
- Work with quoting team to submit the file for internal underwriting and coordinate the quoting process.
- Present quoted coverage terms to prospective insureds.
- Follow-up with prospective insureds during the proposal and throughout the binding process and cancellation.
We do not require cold calling since we have inbound prospective clients that need to be serviced.
AREA OF CONCENTRATION:
Personal Lines,Commercial Lines Property & Casualty Coverage for “essential” industries including Transportation, Workercomp, TLC & BOP.
- QUALIFICATIONS:
* High School diploma or equivalent: additional education or certification in insurance or office administration is a plus.
* Candidate should have conversational communication skills (verbal and written) and be proficient working with computers.
* Bilingual proficiency is highly preferred: Chinese and English
* Ability to be self driven and capacity to multi-task, prioritize and bring tasks to completion.
* Excellent problem solving, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
* Industry / area of concentration experience helpful but not required. Training is provided.
SKILLS
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Proficient in using office software, such as Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism
- Customer-focused mindset with a friendly and helpful attitude
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite of products
