Reporting to the VP, Insurance and Risk Management, the Insurance and Risk Manager will support the design, development, implementation and maintenance of insurance risk management policies and procedures in support of Venture Global’s goals.
Principal Responsibilities:
- Identify significant risk exposures and utilize risk management, insurance, and other risk transfer techniques to minimize their impact on the total cost of risk.
- Maintain close relationships with development, construction, and operations individuals to help ensure that all significant risks are identified and properly considered.
- Interface with legal, finance and operations management and insurance. carriers and brokers to provide guidance and advocacy for implementing preferred insurance programs.
- Review and negotiate contractual insurance terms and conditions.
- Support and evaluate project development activities.
- Provide support and coordination with project teams and with the insurance market participants.
- Support the insurance budget process and communicate fluctuations to the finance department.
- Work with insurers, adjusters, brokers and other relevant third parties to manage open insurance claims.
- Remain current on issues and new products developed within the risk management area to ensure that they are evaluated relative to VG’s activities.
- Gather and prepare information necessary for placement and handling of insurance programs.
- Support the negotiation, review and placement of insurance covers.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree
- 10 or more years of experience in Insurance and Risk management – experience with exposure to large construction projects and/or marine an advantage.
- CPCU, ARM, or other professional designations preferred.
- Strong business and financial savvy with the ability to support a high-performance organization that will deliver operational excellence and meet or exceed targets.
- Highly analytical problem-solving skills, adept at processing and breaking down data into actionable information.
- Demonstrated familiarity with project finance.
- Strong aptitude for managing and prioritizing multiple projects and deadlines.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills coupled with the ability to summarize key points and define actionable items for senior management.
- Ability to work independently under tight deadlines.
- Diligent, detail oriented, and dynamic.
- Positive attitude and strong interpersonal skills
- Experience utilizing captives an advantage.
- Flexibility with respect to travel

Pay: $90,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
