Required Qualifications:This position requires a bachelor’s degree in computer science, instructional systems, instructional design, education, or a closely related field. In addition to education, a minimum of two (2) years of customer service experience is required, preferably in an academic setting.
Key Responsibilities: This is not a comprehensive list of responsibilities.
- Serve as lead Instructional Designer on peer reviews. Conduct a universal design for learning/accessibility report on classes undergoing the peer review process and participate as official staff support for the Peer Reviewer Committee.
- Work directly with faculty, supporting their instructional technology and curriculum needs, including providing individual assistance to faculty on performing specific tasks with various instructional software packages, and serving as a liaison to faculty in producing video and multimedia content. Will also provide assistance and guidance with publisher content. Accept appointments with faculty who have instructional design needs.
- Develop, design, update, coordinate, and facilitate training classes for faculty. Facilitate workshops with engagement tools like H5P, D2L Brightspace Creator+, Honorlock, and contribute to writing blog posts.
- Serve as project manager for course buildouts and curriculum development for the Online Success Seminar, working closely with the faculty and staff members, coordinating oversight of ongoing tasks, goals identified through this project, and documentation.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- Excellent organizational skills, multi-tasking skills and ability to solve problems.
- Knowledge of computers, peripherals, and software programs such as Microsoft Office Suite (ex: word) and LMS programs.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, and be flexible to meet the demands of the College.
- Ability to interpret information and make logical decisions.
