Current Opportunity:
The (Corporate) Instructional Designer II (ID2) is accountable for continuous quality learning solutions and materials supporting Aveanna’s learning and development strategy.
The ID2 works with the Instructional Design Manager and team to design and ensure the improvement and performance of Aveanna employees through assessing, developing, and evaluating assigned training programs. The ID2 will be inquisitive, intellectually curious, eager for knowledge, and like to research and take direction from the Manager and teammates. The ID2 will liaise with L&D and all other Aveanna divisions. This person will collaborate with stakeholders, managers, department heads, subject matter experts, etc., to gather information about training needs and performance gaps. They will assist the L&D team by recommending cross-functional learning solutions to streamline L&D projects across all business areas. Our goal is to provide solutions that align with the organization's objectives and contribute to the growth of our employees.
This person will be well-organized, have high accountability for project deadlines, and be accessible during business hours. The ID2 will demonstrate a willingness to learn and embrace emerging technology and be prepared to increase the capabilities of all Aveanna talent organization wide.
Essential Job Functions
- Demonstrates high visibility and accountability with project deadlines and prioritizes tasks to reach immediate needs.
- Aligns projects with Aveanna's goals, objectives, mission, vision, values, and 5Cs.
- Works on many projects simultaneously.
- Prioritize testing courses and be fluent with mobile device testing.
- Uses high-level design and programming abilities in Storyline. Branching, scenarios, etc.
- Uses various authoring tools and related software to produce multimedia training programs.
- Builds moderately complex aspects of projects. Works independently and collaboratively.
- Revises/rebuilds existing courses as needed.
- Ensures training materials are correct and accurate in a rapidly changing environment.
- Recommends and creates solutions and/or changes to existing programs and/or processes to improve training effectiveness for clinical audiences.
- Is flexible and able to back up other department staff as needed.
- Uses the ADDIE methodology to develop content.
- Becomes highly competent in Workday Learning (LMS), preview tenants, and sandboxes.
- Is competent with implementing ADL SCORM and ADA Section 508 into multimedia courseware.
- Conducts skill assessments and collects input to identify training or development needs, goals, gaps, and requirements.
- Writes concise, creative, and effective instruction.
- Develops educational curriculum to include instructor-led decks, job aids, interactive e-courses, audio/video, and other training solutions for various audiences, including employees, managers, customers, or other learners.
- Delivers classroom and virtual training as necessary. Helps other teammates and peers prepare for classroom and virtual delivery.
- Responsible for writing outlines, syllabi, lecture notes, and materials for in-person or online courses and self-study programs, training the trainers on instructor-led training solutions.
- Represents Learning and Development on various corporate project teams, ensuring key training deliverables are completed within scope and on time.
- Makes informed decisions and judgments about the blended learning solutions that best meet the defined business needs and learning performance objectives.
- Increases knowledge and skills to provide ever-increasing value to Aveanna.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Instructional Design, or work-equivalent experience.
- 4-7 years of training and instructional design experience preferred.
- Experience developing online, classroom-based, and blended programs required.
- Development of effective virtual learning solutions preferred.
- Home healthcare experience preferred.
- HR experience preferred.
- Project Management skills preferred.
- Proficiency with Windows Office 365 applications required.
- Advanced Articulate Storyline skills preferred.
- Excellent written and facilitation skills are required.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
