As an Instructional Designer for ACA, you will design, develop, and maintain a variety training programs for eLearning and classroom use. You will collaborate with internal subject matter experts to design comprehensive curriculum that will meet the educational needs of ACA associates. This will include creating new materials and updating existing training materials as needed with a strong initial focus on compliance and operational training.

- Design, develop, deploy, and maintain effective instructor-led training programs to meet departmental needs.
- Perform needs and task analysis, scope projects, and constantly evaluate the most appropriate training approach and content to meet the learning needs of each departmental audiences and services.
- Create and update instructor-led and e-learning curriculums using software such as Microsoft Suite and Articulate 360
- Contribute to the development of training material associated with compliance release notes, new features, etc.
- Seek to continuously improve training and help curriculum to reflect ever-changing user personas and market needs.
- Manage multiple deliverables at once—without forfeiting quality and timelines. This requires effective project management skills including successful risk mitigation.
- Select the most appropriate instructional multimedia and write effective copies, texts, audio and video scripts. This requires thorough multimedia knowledge.
- Focus on the expected outcomes, based on the audience’s prior skills, experience, expectations and needs, and design a course based on the available technology, budget and time.
- Create effective and fair assessments that foster the learners’ development by providing opportunities to demonstrate their mastery of the learning goals.
- Conduct thorough research using solid analytical skills and synthesize information from multiple sources.
- In cooperation with SMEs and team members, create training content that can be used and applied in the real business situations.
- Continually evaluate procedures to monitor and analyze course effectiveness and update curriculum as needed.
- Coordinate testing, feedback, and certificates of completion for eLearning and instructor led training.

Qualifications:
- 1-2 years’ experience in developing and maintaining complex compliance and technical training course curriculums.
- 1+ years’ experience developing eLearning modules using tools such as, Adobe Captivate, Articulate Storyline, or equivalent.
- Excellent communication, writing, and editing skills for the purpose of knowledge transfer and skill development
- Proven ability to manage projects, identify risks, and deliver exceptional quality work—on time.
- Track record of innovation in developing training solutions with a portfolio of projects for various audiences.
- BA/BS in Training, Communications, Instructional Design, Technical Writing, Multimedia Design, or equivalent related discipline
- Strong analytical skills
- Proficient in computer navigation
Supervisory Responsibility:
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment and Physical Demands:
This position operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and e-faxing.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position with a work schedule of Monday-Friday with some schedule variations as needed.
Travel:
This position will require up to 15% travel to other offices as needed.
