Roles and Responsibilities:
• Develop instructional materials according to defined standards.
• Create storyboards for web and mobile applications.
• Collaborate with team of ISDs, subject matter experts, graphic artists, and developers to produce effective and engaging instruction.
• Follow Agile principles for iterative development.
• Participate in all phases of the instructional design process.
• Create instructional support materials, as needed.
• Act as a peer reviewer, as needed.
Minimum Qualifications/Requirements/Certifications:
• 2+ years of experience designing e-learning
• 2+ years of experience creating effective storyboards
• Proficiency with MS Office Suite and course authoring software (Storyline or similar)
• Strong analysis and problem-solving skills
• Ability to design and develop technical training to meet learning objectives in a rapidly changing environment using SAM methodology
• Possess technical writing skills (writing and editing) related to content development and instructional materials development
• Ability to design assessments to support defined learning objectives
• Ability to effectively communicate with graphic artists and subject matter experts to design technically accurate instructional courseware
• Must be a team player, highly motivated, with strong communication skills
• Ability to work under tight deadlines where quality, creativity, and accountability are expected
• Willingness and ability to learn quickly
• Forward thinking with willingness to explore uncharted territory
• Comfortable with ambiguity and changing requirements
Preferred Qualification/Requirements:
• Experience in all phases of the ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation) model
• Experience with blended learning
• 2+ years of experience in technical writing
• Experience using IADS
• Department of Defense-related instructional experience
• Experience using version control software, XML, DITA, and problem-management software
• Knowledge/Experience with learning management systems and SCORM 2004
• Working knowledge of Articulate Storyline and Review 360
• Experience with Blackboard classrooms, especially as an administrator
• Experience with micro-learning strategies and techniques
Minimum Education:
• B.A./B.S. or higher in Instructional Design, Adult Education, or related field
Substitution for Education:
• 12 years of relevant experience may be substitute for required education
Preferred Education:
• Master's degree in Instructional Design, Education or related field
