The Instructional Designer will work with subject matter experts and other partners to design, develop, and implement learning programs or solutions for every functional group within the company. This includes: Sales, Recruiting, Leadership, Operations, and Corporate. These programs will be developed and delivered in a blended format. This position will be responsible for engaging in the full instructional design and development process and will also be responsible for using and recommending technology-based tools to improve the instructional integrity of our client's learning materials.
Any request that comes through for ISD, there is a formal form submitted. Teaching experience is desired. Analysis experience required. There is less structure with program alignment so they will be working on everything that comes into the team. Building e-learning in the articulate suite. Storyline is required. Adobe Creative suite. Video tool is Camtasia.
Essential Functions:
• Design, develop, and maintenance of interactive and engaging materials for multiple delivery methods, including instructor-led training (classroom and virtual), self-paced web-based training, and other training and development support (e.g., facilitator guides, participant workbooks, PowerPoint presentations) using adult learning principles
• Collaborates with subject matter experts (SMEs), stakeholders, and peers to define learning objectives, design, create/develop, implement, and evaluate content
• Creates and edits scripts, job aids, and storyboards
• Creates supporting media (e.g., audio, video, simulations)
• Revise and update current training materials and resources according to system and design changes
• Establish instructional design and development standards for all existing and future training materials that support continued quality, speed of delivery, and learning reinforcement
• Conduct front-end analysis including scoping and root cause analysis of training gaps and pain points
• Assist in the evaluation of instructional effectiveness for course materials that are produced
• Communicate frequently and effectively with various project collaborators to ensure that goals and objectives are being met
• Publish and manage material in the learning experience platform (LXP)
• Collaborate with shared services teams to publish web-based courses and print training and support material
• Creates and regularly updates project plan(s) including managing details and keeping multiple tasks/projects on task. Regularly monitors and tracks progress on projects
• Applies consistent approach to instructional design (ADDIE, SAM, etc.)

Minimum Education/Abilities/Skills:
• Experience in designing sales training preferred
• Project management experience preferred
• Graphic design skills
• Ability to create simulations
• Experience using Captivate or Articulate 360
• Experience with video conferencing and/or e-learning
• Ability to build online courseware
• Experience designing and working with extreme learning modalities (gaming, m-learning, podcasting etc.) a plus
• Strong team mindset
o Open to receiving and giving feedback
o Ability to work in a team environment, in-person and virtually
o Continued education mindset, and willing to share resources
Special Requirements:
• Requires a BA/BS degree in Instructional Design, Instructional Technology, Adult Educ., or a related field
• Experience with:
o Articulate 360/Captivate
o Adobe Suite (InDesign, Acrobat)
o Movie editing software (Camtasia or Movavi)
o MS Office Suite (PPT, etc.)
