TSC provides products and services in the areas of radar, communication systems, sensors, antennas and other electronics systems to the missile, radar/sensor system, communications, control systems, data acquisition, and signal processing markets. Job Description:
TSC's System Production and Transition Division in Huntsville, AL is actively recruiting a Quality Control Mechanical Inspector with an education and/or industry focus in quality of mechanical systems in support of military radar and communications hardware and systems. This role will support the development programs by inspecting incoming mechanical piece parts from suppliers and internal machine shop. In addition, this role may perform in-process and final inspection of mechanical assemblies. Inspection will include documenting results and seeking disposition of nonconforming parts or assemblies when necessary. This position prefers an individual who promotes continual improvement; and has the ability to perform at high-levels in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. As part of the Quality team, other quality duties may be assigned.
Responsibilities:

• Conduct incoming inspection of fabricated parts
• Conduct incoming part marking inspection on fabricated parts
• Conduct incoming raw material inspection
• Conduct in-process and final inspection of mechanical assemblies
• Review supplier documentation to purchase order requirements
• Document and process nonconforming parts to ensure containment and proper disposition
• Support first article inspection per AS9102 and source inspections, as required
• Create material return notices to initiate return of nonconforming parts to suppliers

Required Qualifications:

• Associate degree, in related field, or 3-7 years of mechanical inspection experience
• Experience using calipers, micrometers, gauges (pin, depth, height), etc. Faro Arm/CMM experience preferred.
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings, specifications, geometric dimensioning and tolerances (GD&T) per ANSI/ASME Y 14.5
• Experience with part orientation using Third Angle Projection
• Experience inspecting military finishes.
• Experience with First Article Inspection process and documentation review

• Experience using Inspection Software a plus.

• Experience with Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc.)
• Experience working in a quality team environment with buyers, engineers and program managers

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with ISO 9001 or AS9100 Quality Management Systems, preferred
• Experience using Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) including 5 Axis measurements
• Ability to accurately maintain company records and documents in accordance with policies and procedures

• Experience using PLM, PDM, and configuration control process

• Organized and strong attention to detail
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
