Form of workThe NDT Level II/Inspection Technical Specialist conducts training of production employees in various methods of NDT Inspection, Machining, and/or Hardbanding. They shall be familiar with the quality management system (QMS) and will perform audits of the same. Must be able to travel domestically and internationally.
Responsibilities:
- Familiar with NDT Inspections (MT (magnetic particle testing), UT (ultrasonic testing), PT (liquid penetrant testing), MFL (magnetic flux leakage), VT (visual testing), Phased Array, etc.)
- Conduct classroom and practical training in multiple methods/techniques
- Perform internal QMS and Process audits
- Interact with Engineering on new equipment design and acceptance
- Evaluate equipment to meet industry requirements
- Support the facility in external audit processes
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years' experience as an NDT Level II in MT, UT and PT
- Willingness to pursue ASNT NDT Level III certification in MT, UT, PT, MFL and VT
- High school diploma or GED Required (some college preferred)
- Hold or willingness to obtain auditing credentials
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Approximately 25 to 30% domestic/international travel
- Excellent computer literacy
- Working knowledge of Industry Standards such as API, ASNT, ASTM, ISO, etc.
- Excellent communication skills. Spanish language proficiency preferred but not required
