OVERVIEW
Inside Sales Engineer O&G will work in a highly dynamic, team environment and contribute to the success of Aftermarket business segment essential to the company’s growth. Position plays a critical role in the selling process and provides a firm foundation for career advancement.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Primarily responsible for responding to RFQ’s with the preparation and delivery of Quality proposals to the customers within the defined due dates.
- Coordinates with customers and Outside Sales in a specific sales region to convince the customers of the value offered by IMI products and services.
- In coordination with Outside Sales, derives pricing levels based on anticipated needs of the account, region and/or market.
- Handles complex proposals (e.g. Spare Parts Interchangeability lists, Customer Price books) with minimal supervision.
- Capable of handling spare parts related technical questions and upsells to generate additional business for the company.
- Able to clearly articulate needs to win an opportunity and work with cross functional teams to make required commitments.
- Develop good customer relationships and be the primary point of contact for complex customer problems or situations.
- Sets up plant visits with the Outside Sales teams to understand field issues and report them back to the internal teams to address customer concerns.
- Identifies process improvements or cost/lead time reductions needs, creates an initiative, and drives the initiatives to completion.
REQUIREMENTS
- BS science/technical degree or at least 5 years of industry related experience.
- Externally focused with a drive to fully understand and exceed customer needs.
- Demonstrates ownership, initiative, clear thinking, self-motivation and proven leadership capabilities.
- Candidate must have strong oral and written communication skills in English.
- Excellent time management, organizational, Presentation and interpersonal skills.
- Understanding of power plant process as well as the basics of control valves and applications is preferred.
- Computer Skills - Proficient with MS office products and prior experience working on ERP & SFDC experience is a plus.
- Technical skills – Read manufacturing drawings, P&ID’s and understand power plant systems & process applications would be an advantage.
- Experience with SalesForce required.
