Responsibilities
  • Perform analysis and design of software systems incorporating business, operational and user needs.
  • Work with users at various levels of the organization to identify current state, project risks and gaps to inform future state designs.
  • Perform continual technology assessment and applicable enhancements to facilitate continuous improvement and system optimization.
  • Communicate with project stakeholders on project statuses.
  • Serve as liaison between stakeholders and vendor representatives during application research and design process.

  • Problem solving skills: understand the problem to be solved and apply appropriate tools, analytical methods, or resources to solve the problem.

  • Effective communication: collaborate with cross-functional teams, translating technical information into clear and concise insights for various stakeholders, including pharmacists, clinicians, and IT professionals.

  • Program/project management: collaborate with key stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables, and provide regular updates on project progress.
Requirements

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • Pharmacist obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Licensure specific to state in which
    work is performed.
  • CSR-Prescriptive Authority preferred.

Education:

  • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Bachelor's degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
Additional Preferences
  • Proven experience in pharmacy informatics, demonstrating expertise in data analysis and interpretation.
  • Deep understanding of clinical workflows, pharmacy workflows and operations.
  • Experience working with, designing, building, and implementing pharmacy information systems and EHRs (Cerner, Epic, AllScripts).
  • Familiarity with healthcare IT standards, interoperability, pharmacy systems, and EHR systems.
  • Project management experience with effective collaboration skills with a focus on successful technology implementation and optimization.
  • Strong commitment to continuous learning and staying abreast of industry trends.
  • Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree with active pharmacist licensure.
