* Currently pursuing a degree in Industrial Technology with a strong focus on construction-related coursework.
* Demonstrated interest and coursework in project management and construction processes.

Preferred
* No prior experience as an Assistant Project Manager required, but a keen interest in the field is essential.
* Willingness to engage in various project management tasks and activities.
* Must be a full-time student in good academic standing.

Primary Responsibilities
Purpose of Job: Collaborate with the Construction Manager to support the planning, coordination, and execution of construction projects. This position will provide valuable experience in project management within the construction industry in the areas of estimating, planning, scheduling, budgeting, and contracts.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Assist in project support, including material handling and site maintenance.
* Assist in project planning, scheduling, and coordination.
* Collaborate with Project Managers to monitor project progress and ensure timelines are met.
* Aid in the management of project documentation, including contracts, budgets, and reports.
* Assist in coordinating with subcontractors and suppliers.
* Participate in on-site inspections and quality control checks.
* Contribute to educational outreach activities related to construction project management.
* Perform any additional tasks as directed by Project Managers.
* Responsible for personal safety and the safety of the project team, adhering to safety protocols and best practices at all times.
Supervision: direct supervision from Prof. Keith Nixon for day-to-day instruction. Prof. Nixon will also act as the Faculty Mentor within the STEM Internship Program. General instructions and work periodically reviewed by department among the Industrial Technology faculty.
STEM Internship Program:
This position is part of the Title III STEM LoboTrack to Success ( LTS) SRSU STEM Faculty Internship Program. Along with the normal job duties, the student will learn from the faculty supervisor about the STEM workforce, different career pathways, research, and more. Students will gain knowledge, experience, and professional connections in the STEM field. Students will have access to professional development tools throughout the Internship Program (resume building, interview practices, etc.). Additionally, the student must present at the SRSU Spring Research Symposium. For more questions regarding the Internship Program, reach out to Maya Vaughn ( maya.vaughn@sulross.edu).
All other duties as assigned unique to the department. Responsible for personal safety and the safety of others. This position is security sensitive.
