Industrial Maintenance Technician

Aegis Worldwide is partnered with a large food manufacturing company in the Garland, TX area. We are looking for an industrial electrical technician. The ideal candidate for this position will have experience in food manufacturing and have a true multi-craft skillset. We are looking for someone who has experience working with PLC's, hydraulics/pneumatics, motors, gearboxes, conveyors, etc.

• $33/hr-$40/hr starting pay
• 2nd/3rd shift openings

Responsibilities:

1. PLC Troubleshooting:

   • Diagnose and troubleshoot PLC systems
   • Perform routine maintenance and updates on PLCs to ensure optimal functionality.

2. VFDs and Servo Drives:

   • Demonstrate a deep understanding of Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) and servo drives.
   • Troubleshoot and repair issues related to VFDs and servo drives to minimize downtime.

3. 3-Phase Motors:

   • Diagnose problems with 3-phase motors and implement necessary repairs or replacements.
   • Conduct regular inspections and maintenance to ensure the efficiency of motor systems.

4. Hydraulic and Pneumatic Systems:

   • Work with hydraulic and pneumatic systems, troubleshooting issues and performing repairs.
   • Maintain and update hydraulic and pneumatic components as needed.

5. Gearboxes and Conveyors:

   • Repair and replace gearboxes to ensure the smooth operation of machinery.
   • Troubleshoot conveyor systems and implement necessary maintenance or replacements.

Qualifications:

1. Technical Proficiency:

   • In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with PLCs (Siemens, Allen Bradley, Omron).
   • Strong understanding of Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) and servo drives.

2. Electromechanical Skills:

   • Expertise in troubleshooting and replacing 3-phase motors.
   • Experience working with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

3. Mechanical Aptitude:

   • Ability to repair and replace gearboxes for various machinery.
   • Familiarity with conveyor systems and their components.

4. Problem-Solving Abilities:

   • Proven track record of effectively diagnosing and solving complex Industrial Maintenance issues.
   • Quick and efficient problem-solving skills to minimize production downtime.

5. Safety Conscious:

   • Adherence to safety protocols and guidelines in all maintenance activities.
   • Awareness of and commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.
