Your responsibilities
thyssenkrupp is seeking an Industrial Engineer to support new launches and projects across our growing business. Responsibilities for the Industrial Engineer will include:
- Assisting with leading and supporting the development of best-in-class operating solutions in the areas of warehousing design and/or supply chain operations. Solutions include consideration of all operational elements including but not limited to cost, service requirements, operational processes, utilization of technology/IT, equipment requirements/selection, facility layout and MHE selections related to staffing plans
- Analyze potential and existing operations and provide improvement recommendations for new and existing customer solutions
- Create pricing and financial models for proposed and existing operating solutions. Lead internal reviews of thyssenkrupps cost models and the construction of customer pricing. Support commercial leadership in the development of internal and external commercial explanations of thyssenkrupp solutions
- Reduce travel and cycle times to ensure accuracy and on time delivery of our services
- Take part in continuous improvement projects
- Perform root cause analysis on cost and productivity data that significantly differs from projections
- Identify, develop, and implement physical layout and process improvements that impact space utilization, process flow, and employee productivity. Be active from specification to implementation in the design and justification of new equipment to improve process and delivery of thyssenkrupp services
Your profile
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must possess an understanding of automation through the entire fulfillment process, process flows, inventories, variances and counting techniques
- Ability to prepare and make comprehensive preparations, participates in formal debate, communicate extemporaneously, and professionally communicate before an audience
- Experience as an Industrial Engineer in the automotive, distribution, manufacturing or supply chain environment
- Experience designing and developing operational processes, warehouse flow and labor management
- Able to assimilate data from a variety of sources, analyze and recommend appropriate courses of action to take.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree or higher in Industrial or Engineering (preferred)
- Supply Chain Services experience preferred
