We are seeking an experienced Industrial Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a substantial background in process improvement, design, and optimization.
RESPONSIBILITIES:- Applying engineering principles and analytical techniques to advance the continuous improvement of manufacturing processes and products.
- Recommend the most efficient distribution of manpower, review daily employee manpower, and analyze plant methods and standards.
- Drive development and installation of direct and indirect labor standards and methods.
- Make recommendations on efficient manpower utilization and line balancing.
- Conduct Job Ergonomics evaluations.
- Analyze production flow constraints and conduct equipment cycle time analysis.
- Prepare or direct the preparation of cost estimates of new or revised methods and standards.
- Review proposed changes in plant layout, processes, material handling, flow, etc.
- Analyze production operations to determine those requiring further study.
- Develop new or improved methods and standards.
- Develop layouts for current and future models using CAD.
- Coordinate engineering changes and planning.
- Conduct value stream mapping and process audits.
- Develop cost-saving project proposals and write projects as required.
- Assist production in planning labor allocations for mix and line speed changes.
- Develop and manage improvements using Gantt chart to track process improvements.
- Conduct time and motion studies to identify opportunities for improvement
- Provide training and support to employees on new processes and systems
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or related field or 4+ years of relevant Industrial manufacturing experience.
- Self-motivated, disciplined, and organized individual driven by a passion for providing solutions.
- Familiarity with manufacturing operations (assembly, cutting, measuring, etc).
- Understanding of OEE and other efficiency measures.
- Must be able to be on a shop floor/standing for long periods of time.
- Well-versed in Microsoft Excel and Gantt charts.
- Ability to create and modify CAD drawings.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
