Job Description
Job Summary: Seeking an entry-level Industrial Engineer/Operations Engineer specializing in automotive seating manufacturing and process improvements.
Job Requirements:
Undergraduate degree in Engineering or equivalent combination of education and work experience
Proficiency with computer software applications including word processing, spreadsheets, database, Solidworks and AutoCAD software
2 years or less of relevant experience
Preferred Skills:
Experience with manufacturing processes and quality control
Knowledge of Six Sigma principles
Ability to understand and improve process efficiencies
Job Responsibilities:
Direct accountability for fixtures, equipment evaluation, hand tools, and time studies required for the manufacture of assemblies and end products
Provide engineering assistance to the design and manufacture of fixtures, machines and tools for seat assembly
Review ergonomics, mistake proofing, workload, ease of assembly of components or end products
Work closely with HS+E coordinator to ensure equipment or fixtures meet all ergonomic and safety standards
Assist in preparing Failure Mode Affects Analysis Reports
Facilitate compliance with all OSHA regulations relating to the plant
Recommend modifications, improvements or changes necessary to maintain compliance with laws
Pay Details: $50,000.00 to $85,000.00 per year
