Industrial Engineer

Job Summary: Seeking an entry-level Industrial Engineer/Operations Engineer specializing in automotive seating manufacturing and process improvements.

Job Requirements:

• Undergraduate degree in Engineering or equivalent combination of education and work experience

• Proficiency with computer software applications including word processing, spreadsheets, database, Solidworks and AutoCAD software

• 2 years or less of relevant experience

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with manufacturing processes and quality control

• Knowledge of Six Sigma principles

• Ability to understand and improve process efficiencies

Job Responsibilities:

• Direct accountability for fixtures, equipment evaluation, hand tools, and time studies required for the manufacture of assemblies and end products

• Provide engineering assistance to the design and manufacture of fixtures, machines and tools for seat assembly

• Review ergonomics, mistake proofing, workload, ease of assembly of components or end products

• Work closely with HS+E coordinator to ensure equipment or fixtures meet all ergonomic and safety standards

• Assist in preparing Failure Mode Affects Analysis Reports

• Facilitate compliance with all OSHA regulations relating to the plant

• Recommend modifications, improvements or changes necessary to maintain compliance with laws

 

 

 

 

Pay Details: $50,000.00 to $85,000.00 per year
