The Industrial Engineer is an integral and important part of the Engineering and Operations team and will be required to research, plan, and develop the manufacturing process for Advanced Industries products. The engineer will work with the Engineering Manager to develop, define, and execute projects to solve complex situations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES include the following. Other duties may be assigned:
- Facilitate the manufacturing of new and existing products.
- Utilize SolidWorks to design and develop fixtures/tooling for welding, machining, assembly, etc.
- Develop detailed layouts for equipment, processes, and workflow.
- Create and maintain work instructions and business documents.
- Lead the continuous improvement initiatives and LEAN projects.
- Provide engineering support and troubleshooting to the shop floor related to product, layout, tooling, and equipment.
- Assist in capacity studies on facilities and equipment.
- Provide support with current engineering projects and initiatives.
- Assist in developing and maintaining Bill of Materials and Labor Routings for new and existing products.
- Assist in design efforts on new products, when required.
- Ensure manufacturing processes, equipment, and products comply with safety standards and legal regulations.
- Develop a road map to introduce and increase automation and robotic use in our operations.
- Be up to date on all cutting-edge technology solutions available.
QUALIFICATIONS

- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's degree in manufacturing, industrial, or mechanical engineering.
- 1-3 years experience in manufacturing or Industrial Engineering required.
- Previous experience evaluating and troubleshooting manufacturing processes and machinery preferred.
- Hands-on experience with mechanical concepts, welding, and metal fabrication a plus.
- Experience working with CNC machining, robotic welding, and other automated equipment a plus.
- Experience using Mastercam or other CAM software preferred.
- Experience with ERP systems preferred.
- Working knowledge of 6S principles.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
- Advanced math skills required.
REASONING ABILITY
- Must have excellent reasoning ability.
- Excellent engineering skills combined with sound decision-making skills.
