The Opportunity:
Summary
Reporting to the Manager, Inbound Transportation, the Inbound Transportation Analystis responsible to support domestic and international inbound operations for Sephora; including coordination of pick up from, and deliveries to 3PL’s and working with our logistics partners in the day to day operations. This individual will provide tactical support to update systems and manage pick up communications with the Suppliers, Carriers and Distribution Centers.
Essential Functions
- Validate paperwork for international shipments
- Work closely with Sephora Inbound Team to maintain goals and processes
- Record key performance indicators (KPI’s) for quality logistics performance, timely transit, and operational service
- Build and maintain relationships with service providers, internal and external partners
- Expedite, escalate, and resolve day to day operational issues
- Manage international shipment report distribution to internal and external partners
- Other assignments to support Domestic & International Inbound Operations
- Support HAZMAT compliance for outbound transportation.
Knowledge, skills and abilities
- Previous experience in working with a transportation system and/or ability to quickly develop a proficiency in such systems
- Knowledge of MS Office applications: Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
- Possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, and work seamlessly with numerous cross functional teams
- Demonstrate initiative, problem solving and tactical skills
- Ability to work effectively under pressure with high sense of urgency, manage multiple priorities simultaneously
- Excellent customer service and analytical skills
- Ability to understand other functions of the business as the apply to the role
- Proven ability to produce results efficiently and effectively in a fast paced, high stress, deadline driven work environment
- Ability to escalate issues for resolution, efficiencies and cost savings
Minimum qualifications
- BA/BS degree strongly preferred
- Preferred 3-5 years of experience working in Logistics and Forwarding management
- Previous experience with distribution centers and foreign suppliers and providers preferred
- Previous experience or ability to quickly develop proficiency with transportation systems
- Logistics systems user experience (TMS, WMS, Freight Optimization, Load Planning) preferred
The annual base salary range for this position is $66,000.00 - $73,000.00 The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include, as applicable, the applicant’s qualifications for the position; years of relevant experience; specific and unique skills; level of education attained; certifications or other professional licenses held; other legitimate, non-discriminatory business factors specific to the position; and the geographic location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will perform the job. Individuals employed in this position may also be eligible to earn bonuses.
