St. Luke's Health System in Boise, ID is seeking an Imaging Equipment Technician to join our Clinical Engineering team. Candidates must have a minimum of basic level Imaging Equipment training and applicable experience in general imaging modalities such as Portables, Bone Density systems, C-Arms, Radiographic Systems and/or Radiographic Fluoroscopic Systems and a performance history of maintaining these systems. Experience in upper level modalities such as Mammography, Interventional/Catheterization Systems, Molecular Imaging and Nuclear Medicine, Catscan, and MRI is desirable. An Associates Degree in Electronics or equivalent with a minimum of 2 years' experience is required. Acceptable education courses from the DOD/VA System, OEM training, or Third Party training are acceptable. Qualified candidates must be able to describe the basic fundamentals of Imaging Equipment operation and service. Pay is based upon training and years of modality experience. Qualified candidates must be proficient in written and oral communication, customer service, and service delivery methodologies. Relocation assistance is available.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoots, diagnoses, repairs, maintains and calibrates a broad range of diagnostic imaging/or therapeutic radiation inventory devices.
- Advises and assists in the application of new systems in clinical environments.
- Evaluates the safety, efficiency and effectiveness of Imaging Equipment.
- Maintains documentation of all service events, performance tests and corrective maintenance.
- Provides technical assistance and instruction to personnel regarding equipment operations and maintenance; interacts with clinical health providers in the identification of technology-based problems and solutions development; participates in and conducts on-the-job training regarding technical requirements.
- Provides emergency/unscheduled repairs and/or maintenance as needed.
- Reviews outcome of preventive maintenance actions and makes recommendation to department staff concerning improvements.
- Assists, manages and monitors third-party repairs.
- Understands and complies with Joint Commission and other applicable standards and regulations.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Education: Associate's degree or two years of additional relevant experience.
- Experience: 4 years relevant experience.
- Licenses/Certifications: None

- Certification as CRES or Vendor/OEM
