Performs medical office functions as it relates to the Imaging Department.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Answers phone.
- Registers and schedules patients in the EMR system.
- Establishes amount due and informs the patient.
- Checks on lab orders for contrast studies.
- Enters exams in PACS.
- Instructs patient on preps for their procedure.
- Checks in patients for appointment, verifies and updates patient information.
- Collects co-pays, co-insurance deductibles, self-pay charges and open balances.
- Sorts and distributes mail.
- Sends, receives and distributes faxes.
- Calls patients to remind them of next day appointments.
- Orders office supplies as needed.
- Initiates release forms for Imaging.
- Reconciles charges and payments at close of day.
- Consistently displays a positive attitude and a personal commitment to excellence.
- Attends all department meetings and clinic required meetings.

Required Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or GED.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position in an outpatient medical business office setting. Days and hours of work are between 7am to 6pm. Based on business need, the ability to work a flexible schedule, including some evenings and weekends, as approved in advance.
Travel: This position does not require any travel.
Work Environment: This position requires regular and reliable on-site attendance.
