Seeking Intensive Care Unit Charge Nurse!
Baptist Health Floyd, Intensive Care Unit
Part-Time (24 Hours/Week), Nights (7pm-7am)
*Bonus Eligible for External Applicants Only*
Job Duties:
Responsible for acting as a resource nurse for the department. This is an entry-level leadership position responsible for the coordination of care on designated shifts. He/she will provide leadership to the staff members of the unit in the area of patient care. This position will work alongside the team and provide direct patient care while determining needed staffing fluctuations during shifts, responding to departmental concerns, address immediate staff issues and coordinate patient flow. This position has immediate oversight of employees while performing the same or directly related work as those the position leads.
About the Unit:
The ICU is a 16-bed high acuity unit. The unit cares for a wide variety of patients including patients with strokes, respiratory failure, DKA, COVID cases, surgical patients, and those with renal failure. New Graduate RNs are welcome.
Qualifications:
Graduate from an approved nursing program
Current Indiana or compact state RN license
At least (1) year of experience in area of specialty preferred
BLS for Healthcare Providers required
ACLS certification required (obtained within 12 months of hire)
NIHSS Stroke Certification required (obtained within 3 months of hire)
Professional/Specialty certification required as per unit/department standards
