About the Opportunity
In collaboration with the Assistant Director, Internal Investigations, the Case Manager provides support to Title IX, BOG Rule 1.6 and Code of Conduct investigations. The Case Manager supports the daily needs of an investigation, which includes, assigning a case to an investigator, preparing documents to send to parties, writing interview summaries and ensuring that overall, the investigations are progressing without issue.

What you'll do:
System Management:
Case Manager will be responsible for uploading templates and creating letters for the GME case tracking systems.
Ensures that cases are assigned to appropriate investigator and all appropriate documents are provided to respondent(s) and complainant(s).
Sends out Investigation Summaries and Notice of Outcomes, works with AD to ensure all relevant case documents are filed and case is closed out.
Prepares reports on case information for Assistant Director, Director and AVP.
Pulls case information for FOIA requests and requests from AD and Director.
Pulls case numbers for AD on a regular basis.
Investigations:
Assists investigators with interview summaries by reviewing interview recordings and documenting accordingly.
Creates template letters as directed by the AD, Investigations.
Ensures that all parties of the investigation have received appropriate documentation.
Work with the investigators to ensure that the investigation plan for each complaint is completed timely and accurately.
Resourcing:
Answers questions to employees, students, and leadership regarding the investigation process.
Directs individuals to the appropriate resource that is relevant to the situation; for example, FSAP, Carruth, Student Conduct, etc.
Engages with AD and leaders on interim measures to put in place during the investigation process.
Discusses potential informal resolutions of complaints with parties.
Title IX:
Coordinates and schedules Title IX hearings with witnesses, respondents, complainants, and third-party adjudicator.
Explains the Title IX process to witnesses and offer resources when appropriate.
Assists with technology during the Title IX hearing.
Schedules pre-hearing for all parties involved.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in communications, business, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
Experience:
A minimum of two (2) years in:
- Program Management
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Ability to exercise appropriate judgement in sensitive and unique and unpredictable situations.
Must have sensitivity to and ability to discern appropriate action in high risk personal and emotionally charged situations.
Ability to work in a fast-paced and confidential environment with the ability to provide high-level administrative support, multi-task and prioritize.
Excellent communication skills in both written and verbal form.
Ability to organize workload with close attention to detail, manage multiple tasks and timelines, and make appropriate decisions following university policies and procedures.
Ability to maintain confidential information in dealing with sensitive, complex Human Resources issues.
