We are seeking a dynamic, motivated, and highly skilled Hybrid Associate Attorney with a focus on Employment Litigation to join our esteemed legal team. This position offers a unique opportunity to work on complex and high-stakes Employment Litigation matters. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in labor and employment law, class action defense, and PAGA matters. They will be expected to handle a broad range of responsibilities, including drafting and responding to initial pleadings, arguing motions, and defending depositions. This position requires a commitment to exceptional client service, top quality research and writing skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Drafting and responding to initial pleadings, discovery requests, and other court documents.
- Arguing motions and representing clients in court hearings and trials.
- Defending depositions and conducting witness interviews.
- Managing all aspects of Employment Litigation, including class action defense and PAGA matters.
- Collaborating with a team of attorneys and paralegals to develop litigation strategies.
- Conducting thorough and detailed legal research and analysis.
- Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of labor and employment laws and regulations.
- Providing legal advice and counsel to clients on various employment law issues.
Qualifications:
- JD degree from an accredited law school.
- Admitted to practice in California.
- 3-7 years of experience as an Associate Attorney, preferably in labor and employment law.
- Strong experience in drafting, responding, and arguing motions.
- Experience in defending depositions and handling class action defense and PAGA matters.
- Excellent academic credentials and strong analytical skills.
- Exceptional legal writing skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and adjust to changing priorities in a professional manner.
- Strong interpersonal and presentation skills, along with the ability to communicate effectively with others at all levels within the organization.
- Strong negotiating skills with both legal and financial/commercial issues.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Self-motivated with strong work ethics.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and continuous learning.
