Facilities Support Technician IV       

The Facilities Support Technician shall perform tasks related to maintaining a facility as it relates to vehicle and boat maintenance, carpentry, minor electrical and grounds maintenance duties.  Ability to get a State of FL HVAC License within 90 days.

Facilities Support Technician IV Responsibilities Include: 

• Assists with ensuring all fleet vehicles and vessels are maintained in such a manner that they are ready to be deployed at any time.  This includes monthly service inspections, providing recommendations for fleet improvement, and proper record keeping providing a useful service log.
• Constructs, alters, modifies or repairs a wide range of features in buildings and other facilities including construction of storage areas, work rooms, and offices with existing buildings including framework, rafters, joist, insulation, sheet rock, paneling, doors, windows, and flooring. Build small structures and replaces deteriorated sections of existing structures. 
• Maintains the lawns by cutting using hand, power, or riding equipment. Trimming and edging around walks, flower beds, and walls. Landscaping by planting native flowers, grass, shrubs, and bushes.  Appling herbicides to rid grounds of unwanted weeds and grasses.     
• Performs routine building maintenance duties such as applying plaster, fixing fountains, pressure washing, and other duties. 
• Performs minor repairs and maintenance procedures on equipment utilized in grounds keeping.
• Operates various power and hand tools such as portable drills, clippers, joiners, shapers, sanders, nail gun, combustion saws, routers, band and scroll saws, drill presses, tractor, forklift, etc. 
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Facilities Support Technician IV Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested: 

• High School Graduate
• Minimum of three (3) to four (4) years of combined technical education, training and/or experience in similar duties.                                              
• Skills required to operate and troubleshoot equipment used to perform the above tasks. 
• Previous knowledge and proven abilities to support facilities of similar size and scope.
• This position requires a State of Florida HVAC License or the ability to obtain one within 90 days. 
• Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal
