SUMMARY
Oversees all aspects of the club facility operations in order to keep the club functioning at top efficiency.
HOURS/DAYS
Hours and Days fluctuate according to the time of year and activity level of the Club.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
- Oversees the facility's budget, ensuring financial resources are allocated efficiently.
- Makes cost estimates for budgeting/contract review purposes.
- General knowledge of the proper and safe operation, service, and maintenance of HVAC, mechanical, electrical, and other related building system functions.
- Maintains the air conditioning, refrigerators, ice makers and pool pumps.
- Schedules and manages routine maintenance for all building systems, including repairing of systems for electrical, plumbing, HVAC and more.
- Coordinates and monitors all the work done by outside contractors working on the facility, ensuring quality work and adherence to our standards. Communicates the status of each project to General Manager.
- Inspects the facility regularly to identify any issues and oversee safety protocols.
- Ensures the facility complies with relevant laws, regulations, and safety standards.
- Keeps accurate maintenance records of equipment and machinery. Establishes and manages the club's preventative maintenance program.
- Hires, and supervises all building Facilities & Maintenance employees.
- Plans the work of housekeeping and distributes assignments periodically checking the quantity and quality of their work.
- Develops effective problem-solving strategies to communicate with other departments.
- Makes recommendations regarding necessary capital expenditures and special maintenance/repair improvements.
- Develops and implements towels supply, and other inventory management programs to control expenses.
- Plans "deep cleaning" activities.
- Attends management staff meetings and coordinates efforts to schedule work activities.
- Assists in checking fire protection systems for proper operation and training personnel in their use.
- Maintains the Fitness Center's equipment and inspects its cleanliness.
- Performs various duties involving painting, plumbing, carpentry, and electrical work.
- Supervises the maintenance of parking lots, tennis courts, swimming pools and other recreational areas.
- Ensures that all building maintenance, repair, and cleaning activities are identified, scheduled, and completed.
- Keeps the workshop areas safe, clean, and well-lit.
- Ensures that all refuse is properly removed from the club house and its premises.
- Issues supplies and equipment to employees.
- Collects maintenance and work orders from department heads for approval by the General Manager/COO.
- Maintains inventory of cleaning, maintenance, repair, and related supplies.
- Assists with preparation of special functions, parties, tournaments, etc., by installing decorations and constructing display pieces.
- Works with HOA and Golf Course Maintenance Departments.
- Projects a friendly, helpful attitude to all members and guests of the club.
- Responds to emergencies at any time.
- All other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- Proven experience as a Director of Facilities & Maintenance or similar leadership role.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline desired.
- Minimum 5 years related experience, including building maintenance and operations, security, staff development and management.
- Excellent Organizational and leadership skills.
- General knowledge of the proper and safe operation, service, and maintenance of HVAC, mechanical, electrical, and other related building system functions.
- Required knowledge of procedures, safety rules, tools, methods, and materials used to maintain the clubhouse equipment and structure.
CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS -
- Relevant professional qualifications will be an advantage.
- Valid State Driver's License
SPECIAL SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Ability to diagnose, troubleshoot, repair and service equipment. Operate all equipment.
- General Carpentry Skills, Pool Certification, HVAC, Electrical and General Maintenance Skills.
- Must be computer proficient. Knowledge of Windows based programs such as Word and Excel. Must be able to use email and utilize internet.
- Must be a team player and service oriented.
- Ability to meet US employment eligibility requirements and company eligibility requirements.
- Must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
SALARY
$70k - $80K plus Bonus Plan
