Human Resources Specialist

Job Duties

• Administer employee benefits programs
• Update employee records with new hire information and/or changes in employment status
• Support the Director of Human Resources and school Principals with staff recruitment efforts
• Maintain organizational charts and detailed job descriptions along with salary records
• Assist in the implementation of HR policies throughout the organization
• Assist in the creation and monitor annual staffing budgets
• Manage the organizations Workers Compensation benefits
• Process employees’ queries and respond in a timely manner
• Stay up-to-date and comply with changes in labor legislation
• Support the Director of Human Resources in all day-to-day HR operations

Qualifications

• Proven work experience as an HR Specialist or HR Generalist
• Hands-on experience with Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS), like BambooHR
• Knowledge of Applicant Tracking processes
• Solid understanding of labor legislation and payroll process
• Proven work experience with Workers’ Compensation management
• Familiarity with full cycle recruiting
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Good problem-solving abilities
• Team management skills
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent applicable work experience
• Well-organized and able to handle multiple responsibilities
• School HR experience preferred
