Job Duties
- Administer employee benefits programs
- Update employee records with new hire information and/or changes in employment status
- Support the Director of Human Resources and school Principals with staff recruitment efforts
- Maintain organizational charts and detailed job descriptions along with salary records
- Assist in the implementation of HR policies throughout the organization
- Assist in the creation and monitor annual staffing budgets
- Manage the organizations Workers Compensation benefits
- Process employees’ queries and respond in a timely manner
- Stay up-to-date and comply with changes in labor legislation
- Support the Director of Human Resources in all day-to-day HR operations
Qualifications
- Proven work experience as an HR Specialist or HR Generalist
- Hands-on experience with Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS), like BambooHR
- Knowledge of Applicant Tracking processes
- Solid understanding of labor legislation and payroll process
- Proven work experience with Workers’ Compensation management
- Familiarity with full cycle recruiting
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Good problem-solving abilities
- Team management skills
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent applicable work experience
- Well-organized and able to handle multiple responsibilities
- School HR experience preferred
