NNSA Requirements for MedPEDs:


If you have a Medical Portable Electronic Device (MedPED), such as a pacemaker, defibrillator, drug-releasing pump, hearing aids, or diagnostic equipment and other equipment for measuring, monitoring, and recording body functions such as heartbeat and brain waves, if employed by Sandia National Laboratories you may be required to comply with NNSA security requirements for MedPEDs.


If you have a MedPED and you are selected for an on-site interview at Sandia National Laboratories, there may be additional steps necessary to ensure compliance with NNSA security requirements prior to the interview date.


Salary Range:


$88,600 - $146,200


*Salary range is estimated, and actual salary will be determined after consideration of the selected candidate's experience and qualifications, and application of any approved geographic salary differential.


What Your Job Will Be Like:


Organization 03063, Talent Development's Program and Career Development, is currently seeking a Human Resources Specialist to join their team!


The selected candidate will provide client/partner engagement for consultation on career development programs, training, learning and development needs, and interventions.


On any given day, one may be called upon to:


+ Provide business scoping, process design, and development


+ Provide inter-connection on projects and programs across HR and mission/mission-support organizations in relations to Talent Development


+ Provide Talent Development leadership team on the progress of learning and development initiatives across SNL laboratories


+ Lead complex and innovative projects and programs with sustainability and process improvement activities affecting multiple organizations across Sandia National Laboratories


This position is eligible for telecommuting and the selected applicant must live within a reasonable distance for commuting to the assigned work location when necessary.


Qualifications We Require:


+ A Bachelor's degree in Organization Development, Training, Learning & Development, Business Administration, Business Management, or a relevant field, plus 10 years related experience; or equivalent experience and/or achievements that demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and ability to perform the duties of the job


+ An active DOE L-level security clearance; or other equivalent active security clearance such as DOD Secret


Qualifications We Desire:


+ A Master's degree in Organization Development, Training, and/or Learning & Development


+ 10 years related of experience in the areas of business operations, learning & development, organization development, policy, or program/project management in relation to providing business expertise to functional/matrix partners


+ Experience in business operations and/or program/project management in the areas of learning & development


+ Experience developing and managing policies and procedures as the functional organizational subject matter expert


+ Experience mentoring & coaching employees and leaders


+ Experience with organizational change management, organizational development, metrics, quality assurance, and/or evaluations/assessments


+ The ability to provide expertise and consultancy to all levels of leadership and members of the workforce

Organization 03063, Talent Development's Program and Career Development, is responsible for providing business operations, which includes policies, processes, quality assurance, project management/program management aligned with learning & development, managing and administrating the eLearning platform for the enterprise, evaluation and assessment of training courses/curriculum, mentoring, and providing career development consultation. Additionally, the department provides consulting services to Sandians to improve their job and organizational performance.

Security Clearance:


Position requires a Department of Energy (DOE) L security clearance to start, or equivalent active security clearance with another U.S. government agency (e.g., DOD).


Sandia is required by DOE to conduct a pre-employment drug test and background review that includes checks of personal references, credit, law enforcement records, and employment/education verifications. Applicants for employment need to be able to maintain a DOE L-level security clearance, which requires U.S. citizenship. If you hold more than one citizenship (i.e., of the U.S. and another country), your ability to obtain a security clearance may be impacted.


Applicants offered employment with Sandia are subject to a federal background investigation to meet the requirements for access to classified information or matter if the duties of the position require a DOE security clearance. Position Information:


This Limited Term Employee (LTE) position is a temporary position for one year term, which may be renewed at Sandia's discretion up to a maximum of seven years.


Individuals in LTE positions may bid on regular Sandia positions as internal candidates, and in some cases may be converted to regular career positions during their term if warranted by ongoing operational needs, continuing availability of funds, and satisfactory job performance.
