Responsibilities
Provides administrative and clerical support in all areas of the HR EEO Compliance office; answers and directs departmental calls; liaisons with HR front desk, including daily mail pick-up; monitors email box, referring to appropriate staff members; maintains an intricate filing/computer database on HR EEO actions such as complaints; responsible for file room organization; monitors supplies and solicits supply orders from staff.
Responsible for assisting with the HR EEO complaint process including basic counseling to employees on complaint procedures; scheduling interviews; obtaining documentation and maintaining files; taking accurate and comprehensive notes during investigation interviews and providing feedback to compliance investigators.
Assists with the ADA process including monitoring ADA fax submissions, requesting applicable documentation, addressing basic employee inquiries and directing employee inquiries to the ADA coordinator as appropriate, and maintaining digital and paper ADA files.
Conducts annual Labor Law Poster Audit including onsite poster review and report generation. Manages update of posters on webpage.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree; or a high school diploma or equivalent and experience equal to four years. (Note: post high-school education and/or experience may substitute at a comparable rate.)
- Experience demonstrating effective customer service skills
- Ability to maintain accurate records and retrieve files from active or archive sources
- Experience preparing clear and concise reports, correspondence, and other written materials
- Computer skills to include proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a higher education setting
- Excellent customer service, strong interpersonal, critical listening, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working accurately with detailed information and in a deadline-driven environment.
- Ability to handle confidential information appropriately and exhibit a high degree of discretion and sound judgment.

Anticipated Salary Range
Minimum starting salary $36,250; commensurate education and experience.
