Job description

IHM Senior Living Community is currently looking to fill a full-time Human Resource Manager. We are seeking a candidate to work in our 5-star healthcare facility in Monroe. We are taking resume from candidates that share our values and mission in our skilled nursing facility.
Full-Time working Monday - Friday from 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. (hours may vary based on need of campus)

Responsibilities
The Human Resource Manager will provide day to day developmental and administrative human resource support and employee relation services (to interpret and administer human resource policies and procedures in a fair, equitable and efficient manner). Will also provide oversight and coordination in the areas of administrative human resource systems and employee relation services campus wide, and drive the campus strategic recruitment program.
Will conduct onboarding sessions for new employees. Will ensure that Human Resource policies, benefits and other relevant information are clearly and fully explained. Will ensure that all new hire paperwork is properly completed and submitted for payroll or Human Resources processing in a timely manner.
Will ensure Company compliance with existing legal employment requirements both individually and through communication and training of department and location managers. Coordinates the campus Work Comp, Loss Control, and Safety programs with the guidance of the Chief Human Resource Officer.
Will work closely with managers and supervisors to address and resolve employee relation concerns in a timely, consistent, and responsive manner. Will assist management in resolving employee complaints and grievances and assist with steps of constructive discipline and disciplinary issues. Must be an active member of the Safety Committee along with other company committees.
Education:Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field
Experience: 5+ years HR Generalist experience; Experience in non-profit or health care related field required
Special knowledge, skills and abilities:
  • Proficient and knowledgeable in multiple human resource disciplines including compensation and benefits practices, recruitment, employee relations, performance management, federal and state employment laws, training and development
  • Strong communication skills, including listening, writing, presenting, facilitating, coaching and leading.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and to work effectively with all departments and senior management.
  • Excellent MS Office skills including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
  • Able to demonstrate the ability to work efficiently under conditions of multiple deadlines and changing priorities.
  • Experience in interpreting and applying department policies and procedures and applicable laws, rules, and regulations.
  • Working knowledge of Federal, State and Local rules and regulations.
  • Effective time management, prioritization and problem solving skills.
