Job Description
Salary:

Technical Integration Specialist

Company Overview:

Ethermed is dedicated to using AI and NLP to eliminate the human labor involved in all Prior Authorizations. We are funded, growing, and looking for world-class teammates to own, lead, build, and execute next generation solutions alongside us. This is a unique opportunity to create an immediate and lasting impact within the company and on US healthcare as we know it. Your work will touch tens of thousands of patients, providers, and administrators daily, and through your code we will truly be able to help change US healthcare.

Role:

As a Technical Integration Specialist at Ethermed, you will play a pivotal part in bridging the gap between product vision and technical implementation. Think of yourself as a translator, but way cooler – you'll be wrangling healthcare interoperability standards (FHIR, HL7, etc.) to make our product sing in harmony with any EMR system. If you consider yourself a startup person at your core, and are passionate about healthcare innovation, we’d love to talk!

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze product requirements and translate them into actionable technical specifications for EMR and customer system integrations.
  • Leverage your deep understanding of healthcare interoperability standards (FHIR, HL7, X12, CDA, SMART on FHIR, CDS Hooks) to design and implement robust integrations.
  • Collaborate effectively with both product and engineering teams, ensuring clear communication throughout the integration process.
  • Integration troubleshooting ninja: Possess strong problem-solving skills to identify and resolve integration issues, ensuring smooth implementations for our customers.
  • Stay ahead of the curve – healthcare interoperability is always evolving, and you'll be our resident trend watcher.
  • Document technical designs and configurations to ensure knowledge transfer and maintainability.

Table Stakes:

  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in designing, developing, or implementing healthcare IT integrations.
  • Proven understanding and experience working with healthcare interoperability standards like FHIR, HL7, X12, CDA, SMART on FHIR, and CDS Hooks.
  • Experience integrating with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner) is a strong plus.
  • Solid understanding of technical concepts related to APIs, data mapping, and healthcare data security.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Adaptable and thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Bonus Points:

  • Excellent knowledge of medical coding and insurance reimbursement practices.
  • A passion for innovation and improving healthcare efficiency.
  • Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Java).

We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, ethnicity, religion or religious belief, sex (including pregnancy, childbirth, or related medical conditions), sexual orientation, gender, gender identity, gender expression, transgender status, sexual stereotypes, age, military or veteran status, disability, or any other characteristic protected by law.
