The Human Resources Business Partner “HRBP” will serve as a trusted advisor to leaders by providing strategic support to drive culture and employee engagement within their market. The HRBP will provide leaders with guidance on HR best practices and policy interpretation and support employees, culture, and engagement by proactively addressing issues, supporting performance management, and resolving employee relations issues.
The HRBP will support a diverse employee and leadership population in our retail and manufacturing locations in CO, AZ, and CA. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting multiple locations and will be highly flexible and adaptable with exceptional organizational and time management skills.
Anticipated Comp Range: $70k-$85k
Major Areas of Responsibility include:
• Resolve complex employee relations issues. Conduct effective, timely, and objective investigations while mitigating risk.
• Work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build employee engagement, and increase productivity and retention.
• Execute on people initiatives while providing exceptional internal customer support and driving HR functional excellence and process improvement.
• Provide HR policy guidance and interpretation to managers and employees. Ensure consistency across all markets.
• Partner with managers and recruiters to meet staffing goals across all levels. Ensure hiring standards are met.
• Identify training needs for business units and individual coaching needs; partner with Learning & Development to create and facilitate training as needed.
• Analyze data, metrics, and trends to identify opportunities for improvement and partner with Operations and HR leadership to develop solutions, programs, and policies.
• Ensure regulatory compliance pertinent to the day-to-day management of employees; collaborates with the legal department when necessary.
• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information regarding the company and its employees.
Minimum Qualifications (Skills, Knowledge & Abilities):
• All applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Human Resources, Business or Organizational Development.
• 3-5 years of progressive experience in Human Resources positions, ideally in cannabis, retail, or manufacturing environments. Preference will be given to candidates who have supported multiple locations.
• Must have extensive experience supporting employee relations, performance management, complex investigations, and leadership coaching.
• Additional experience supporting other HR disciplines, such as recruitment, compensation, DE&I, and Learning & Development preferred.
• Proficient knowledge of relevant state and federal employment laws and practices, FMLA, EEOC, FLSA.
• Ability to maintain high degree of confidentiality.
• Excellent conflict management, interpersonal, and time management skills.
• Solid business acumen and problem-solving skills.
• Superior written, verbal, and non-verbal communication skills.
• Ability to respond to issues in a timely manner while remaining flexible and managing competing priorities.
• Superior ability to influence others by developing strong relationships and building trust-partnerships. Experience working with diverse employee populations and senior level executives required.
• Must demonstrate an ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions in a manner consistent with confident leadership.

This job operates in an office setting and is largely sedentary, requiring the routine use of a computer and other standard office equipment. The ability to lift or move up to 5 pounds, bend, reach, and perform manual tasks may also be required.
